 A. Supang National High School

On that Monday morning, I went to Supang National High School accompanied by my Nanays (Name for mothers in Hiligaynon) from GSU to meet our Cooperating Teachers. My cooperating teacher there was Ma'am Phoemy Joy Galanza, she is a science Teacher in Grade 9. She handled five classes in a day from Monday to Friday.

The first class that I started to observe was the 9-Gold Class, the advisory class of my Cooperating Teacher. Before she started the class, she gave me the lesson plan for the week. She started the class with greetings, praying, and checking on the students' attendance. 

The current topic that was delivered for that day was about the part of the human heart, the circulatory system. She was telling the students about parts of the heart and its function. After that, she evaluated the students by providing them a picture of a heart without the names of the parts (blank), and the students needed to name it correctly. 

Not only that, but she also did games called cabbage relay for the review at the next meeting. She was doing the relay while playing music on television there and when the cabbage stopped, the student that was holding the cabbage needed to take one paper from the cabbage and answer the question on it.

She let the students explore by providing an activity called 'The Rythm of My Heart', where the students needed to do some activities and count their heartbeat after that, so they would know whether their heartbeat was in normal condition or not.

B. Buenavista National High School

We arrived at Buenavista National High School on Monday morning right when they were still doing the flag ceremony. After the ceremony ended, we were introduced to the students there and also the Cooperating Teachers who will accompany us in our observation and practice teaching. 

My cooperating teacher was Ma'am Myshiel G. Montelle, she is a science teacher in grade 9. She guided me about the students' behavior, and how they divided into their classes, and gave me the lesson plan for the week.

When the class was ready to begin, she opened the class with a greeting and prayer. She also didn't forget to check the student's attendance. The topic for the day was the lifestyle, a continuation of the previous material, the circulatory system. She asked the students if they knew about lifestyle, what is the meaning of that, and the example. After discussing the current topic, in order to evaluate the students she asked them to list some kind of activities and divide them into good and bad lifestyles. after it's finished, the student can talk about their lifestyle in front of the class. Before Ma'am Myshiel dismissed the class, she asked the students to find some terms and their definitions related to the next topic, genetics.

For the next day, the learning process was supported by a PPT made by the Teacher. She was asking the students about which characteristic is inherited and acquired. She also provided the students some questions and led them into discussion. after the discussion ended, she asked if the students there are a product of genetics or not, and dismissed the class with a quote.
