 A. Supang National High School

The school started as Buenavista National High School Extension with only 5 teachers but last 2007, through the effort of their municipal mayor it became Supang National High School. Located in Supang, Buenavista, Guimaras, Philippines. Now, it has more than a thousand students divided from grade seven to grade twelve.

Supang National High School got full academic support from the Department of Education-Guimaras and the local government unit. They provide technical assistance per school. It is a team of supervisors who are in charge of giving assistance and monitoring of the school.

The teacher told me that at first, they were struggling during the implementation of Kto12 (The curriculum there), because before they only had four years in high school, but pieces of training and seminars helped them become more equipped to embrace the Kto12 system up to now.

They do have the curriculum guide for each learning subject that serves as their guide in the teaching-learning process. They need to follow and deliver that guide in order/sequence and it must be reflected in their lesson plans.

B. Buenavista National High School

Buenavista National High School is considered the largest public school in the province of Guimaras, a bedrock of formation of more than 2000 youngsters and a hearthstone of about 100 teaching and non-teaching personnel.

They are provided with a lot of opportunities, especially in honing the skills of their learners by having programs in various learning areas that improve their academic skills quiz bees, research competitions, and many other academic-related programs. The program specialist from the Schools Division Office provides Technical Assistance both in planning and implementing the learning process to ensure the effective learning experiences of the learners.

Teachers there collaborate and work for a common cause they primarily promote learning across different learning areas, on the contrary, the teaching system there is quite unique it keeps on changing based on the one leading it. But as my teacher said, wherever we go once we are an educator our hearts are always enlightened by seeing the faces of our learners. we are the ones who can impart better and brighter things for them to realize their potential. Their student are also divided into different classes at one grade based on their academic result. They are being divided into Special Science class and Regular class.
